Bean Sprout Salad

Ingredients
Bean Sprout - 3/4 cup
Capsicum - 1 cup (chopped into big pieces)
Onion -1 cup (chopped into big pieces)
Tomatoes -1 (chopped into big pieces)
Cucumber -1 (chopped into big pieces)
Vingear -2 tsp
Salt -as per taste
Pepper powder - a pinch
Lemon juice -1 lemon
How to make it?
1. Chop the vegetables (capsicum,onion,tomatoes) into big pieces.
2. Soak moong (bean),overnight and drain the water and let the bean sprout.
3. Combine all vegetables and Bean sprout in a bowl.
4. Pour vinegar on the mixture.
5. Toss well in a little oil. Add salt and pepper as per taste.
5. Squeeze lemon juice over it. Serve it.

Chana Sprout Salad

How to make it?

Home Remedies for Cold in Babies

Cold is very very common among babies and infants specially during 0- 3 years. It may be due to climate change, water ,weather conditions. It may be accompanied by stuffed nose,watery and runny nose,difficulty in breathing. 


Easy Home remedies for cold in children. 


1. Saffron/Kesar 

- Take 5-6 drops of milk (breast milk). Soak saffron in it for 1/2 hr. Apply the milk on babies nose and forehead. Its a belief that it cures cold and stuffed nose. 


2. Ora marundu (very common in south India ) 

 - You get 5-6 herbs,which must be ground to paste with breast milk and given to the baby. The herbs include Haldi (turmeric), Vasumbu, Chitarartha , Jadika , Masika. Grind more of turmeric ,Vasambu and Chitaratha in case baby is having cold. It is supposed to cure cold. 


3. Saline drops 

- In case you visit a doctor, a common prescription given is saline drops. They are easily available in medical stores,specially for babies. These days they are available in spray as well. 

4. Pathu 

 - Grind Hadli and Vasumbu into a paste with water and apply on babies nose and forehead while sleeping. It supposedly cures stuffy nose. 


5. Vaseline and Vicks 

- If you can get baby Vicks,you can rub it on babies back and chest. Otherwise mix Vicks and Vasaline (more of Vasaline) and apply on babies back and chest before sleeping. It relives nasal congestion. 

6. Eucalyptus oil 

 - Steam water and add a few drops of eucalyptus oil into it. Keep the baby at 1 feet distance and let the baby inhale the steam. 

7. Sambrani or Duhan(smoke from herbs) 

- As soon as the baby has bath. There might be water droplets in ears and nose, a common practice in India is to show sambrani or duhan (smoke from herbs). This evaporates the water droplets if any. Light fire using coal or wooden sticks. Put the herbs (ova, chaffa) over it and let the baby inhale the fumes. Make sure to keep 1 feet distance. 

8. Ajwain (Ova Seeds/ Carom seeds)

- Take little ova and tie it in a small cloth. Heat the tava and place the ova so that it is warm and place it on babies nose and forehead. 

9. Camphor oil 

 - Heat little coconut oil. Add camphor pieces to it. Let it dissolve. Rub the camphor oil on babies chest and back. Or take a bettel leaf and apply over it and place it over babies chest. 

10. Babies sleeping position 

- Alter the babies sleeping position,Keep the head a bit raised to avoid nasal congestion. 

11. Kashayam / Kadha 

 - Take 1 ova leaf , 1 tulsi (basil) leaf ,and 1 beetel leaf. Take little water and boil the leaves in it. Now extract the essence of the leaves into the water. Drain the water and feed it warm to the baby using a spoon.

Jeera - 1 tsp
Mustard - 1/4 tsp
Turmeric - 1/2 tsp
Hing - a pinch
Amchur powder -  1/2 tsp
Coriander powder - 1/2 tsp
Salt - as per taste
Sugar -1 tsp

For chapati :

Wheat flour - 5 cup
Salt - 2 tsp
Ghee - 1 tsp
Water - for kneading

How to make Dal Stuffed Parathas?

1. Soak urad dal in water for 15 mins. Later drain the water completely.
2. Grind green chillis and ginger to make a paste.
3. Take little oil in a pan for seasoning. Add saunf, jeera, turmeric powder and mustard seeds.
4. Now add green chilli and ginger paste and mix well. Next add amchur powder, coriander powder, hing, salt and sugar.
5. Saute the spices well and add urad dal to it and fry till the mixture becomes dry.
6. Allow the above mixture to cool.
7. Take wheat flour, add salt, add ghee and water to knead into a soft dough.
8. Now divide small portions of dough and flatten it. Put a pyortion of stuffing and seal it well. Flatten the dough to make a paratha.
9. Cook the parathas in medium flame.
10. Serve hot with tomato sauce.

Ingredients

For stuffing:

Urad dal - 1/2 cup

For kachoris

Maida - 2 cups

Eggless Microwave Cake (Wheat Flour)

This is a simple eggless cake recipie made with wheat flour.

Wheat flour - 1 1/2 cup

How to make Eggless Cake Recipie?

1. Preheat oven to 180 degrees.
2. Sift baking powder , salt , wheat flour.
3. In a bowl, mix buttermilk, vanilla essence, butter and coffee powder mix in water.
4. To the moist ingredients, add sugar and flour mixture.
5. Mix with a spatulla. Fold the flour in 1 direction. The batter consistency should reach the dollop of batter when dropped should fall, not pour.
6. Grease the microwave plate with butter. Bake in microwave for 25-30 mins.

How to make Cabbage Methi Muthia?

1. Take a bowl, mix 1 cup cabbage, 1 cup methi, 1 tsp til, 1/2 cup besan , 1/2 cup wheat flour, 1 tsp turmeric ,a pinch of hing, 1 tsp of jeera , salt as per taste and 1/2 tsp of garam masala.
2. Mix well and add water and roll into a dough. The dough shouldnot be sticky but it should be softer than chapati atta.
3. Now make small portions of dough and roll it into a 4-5 logs.
4. Now steam the logs in a steamer.
5. Pierce it with a fork to check if it has cooked properly. It should come out clean. Allow it to cool.
6. Cut the logs into pieces
7. Heat oil in a pan. Add green chillis and curry leaves. Then add til. Now put the muthias into the pan and allow it to fry for 5-6 mins.
8. Serve with garnished coriander or fresh coconut.

Aata Rava Besan Cheela

4. Pour the batter in tawa like dosa. Cook it like dosa on both sides.

Basmati rice - 1 cup
Garlic - 6-7
Spring Onion - 5-6
Carrot - 1

Soy sauce - 4 tsp

How to make it?

1. Chop all vegetables very finely (beans, carrot,spring onion,capsicum,cabbage, garlic) and keep ready.
2. Take oil in a pan. Add finely chopped garlic and allow it to turn brown. After it turns brown,add finely chopped onion whites from spring onions.
3. Allow it to saute for 3-4 mins. Then all finely chopped vegetables(beans,cabbage,carrot, capsicum, spring onion leaves) and cook for 5 mins on high flame. Keep stirring the mix so that it doesnt get black.
4. Now add soy sauce ,pepper powder and salt.
5. Stir well. And allow it to cook.
6. Cook the basmati rice seperately and mix it with the vegetables.

Stuffed Parwal

Serves - 4
Preparation time - 20 mins

Ingredients

Parwal -6
Jeera -1 tsp
Onion - 1
Tomato - 1
Saunf - 1 tsp
Coriander powder -1 tsp
Red chilli powder -1 tsp
Mango powder - 1 tsp
Garam masala - 1 tsp
Salt - as per taste
Oil - for seasoning

How to make it?

1. Peel the parwal.
2. Slit open one side and remove the inside marrow. Keep aside.
3. Mix all the powders in a bowl.( coriander powder,chilli powder,mango powder,garam masala, salt.
4. Take 1 tsp of oil in a pan and add jeera. Then add saunf. Now add chopped onions and saute.
5. Add chopped tomatoes and all masalas and saute for 3-4 mins.
6. Allow the mixture to cool.
7. Then stuff the mixture inside the parwal.
8. Next with the remaining oil in a pan. Add the parwals. Cover with a lid and cook for 5-7 mins. Turn sides till the parwal skin turns brownish.
9. Serve hot with chapati or rice .

Raagi Uthapam

Raagi - 1 cup
Rice flour - 1/4 cup
Onion - 1 ( chopped)
Curd - 1/4 cup
Green chilli - 2 ( chopped)

Mustard - 1/4 tsp

Curry leaves - 5 to 6

How to make it?

1. Mix raagi,rice flour,onion, curd,green chilli, salt and water.
2. Temper oil, mustard,cumin seeds in oil.
3. Pour into the batter and mix well.
4. Pour it onto a pan like dosa anf cook on both sides.

Chilli Onion Chutney

Ingredients
Onions -2 (sliced)
Oil - 1 tsp
Red chilli - 3
Chana dal - 3 tsp
Tamarind - a small piece.
Salt - as per taste

How to make it?

1. Slice 2 onions.
2. Heat oil, add chana dal and saute red chilli. Add chopped onions. Let it turn brown.
3. Then Add tamarind.
4. Turn off the gas. And allow to cool down.
5. Grind the above mix in a mixer to a fine paste.
6. Add salt as per taste.

Oats Paniyaram

Serves - 30 pieces

Ingredients

Oats -1 cup
Semolina - 1 tbsp
Curd - 1 cup
Mixed Veggies (Carrot,Beans,Cabbage)- 1 cup
Besan -  2 tbsp
Onion - 1(chopped)
Green chilli - 1
Curry leaves - few
Salt - as per taste

How to make it?

1. Mix oats,semolina,curd,mixed veggies(chopped finely) and besan.
2. Add chopped onions, green chilli ,curry leaves and salt.
3. Allow batter to rest for 15 mins.
4. Heat the paniyaram vessel. Put a drop of oil and grease the paniyaram vessel with oil.
5. Add upto 3/4 of batter in each of the mould of paniyaram.
6. Allow it to cook. And then flip sides.
7. After its cooked on both sides. Remove it. Serve hot with chutney.

Soya Chunk Manchurian

Preparation time - 20 mins

Ingredients

Soya chunks - 2 cups
Soya sauce - 1 tsp
Green chilli paste - 2 tsp
Spring onions - 5 to 6 (onions -chopped to big pieces)
Capsicum - 1 ( chopped to big pieces)
Corn flour - 3 tbsp
Oil - 4 tsp
Ginger garlic paste - 1 tsp
Tomato ketchup - 1 tsp

How to make it?

1. Boil soya in water. Drain the water and squeeze water out of soya chunks.
2. Take soya in a bowl. Add salt, soya sauce, green chilli paste and cornflour and mix well.
3. Now take oil in a pan and put the soya mixture in the oil and keep stirring well. Keep aside.
4. Saute spring onion,ginger garlic and capsicum. Add soya sauce, green chilli sauce, tomato ketchup and some water. Later add spring onion leaves
5. Allow it to cook for 2-3 mins.
6. Now put the soya mixture in thr gravy.
7. Add salt as per taste. Serve hot.

Mix Vegetable Soup

Preparation time : 15 mins

Ingredients for vegetable stock

Onion - 1 (sliced)
Carrot -1 (sliced)
Cabbage -5 to 6 leaves
Cauliflower -3 to 4 florets
Garlic - 3 to 4 cloves
French beans - 6 to 8 beans
Bay leaf - 1

Ingredients for soup

Carrot - 1 cup ( chopped)
Beans - 4 to 5 (chopped)
Cauliflower - 4 to 5 florets ( chopped)
Capsicum - 1 cup (chopped)
Salt - as per taste
Pepper powder - as per taste

How to make it?

1. Boil all the vegetables for vegetable stock in a cooker.
2. Allow it to cool a bit and blend it to a paste.
3. Add all chopped vegetables to the puree.
4. Add salt and pepper powder as per taste and bring it to boil.
5. Serve hot.

Schezuan Chinese Rice

Preparation time : 1/2 hour
Serves : 4

Ingredients

Boiled rice - 1 cup
Oil - 4 tsp
Garlic - 5-6 cloves (chopped)
Spring onion - 4 (onions chopped)
Capsicum - 1 (chopped)
Carrot - 1 (chopped)
Beans - 1 (chopped)
Schezuan sauce - 3 tsp
Soya sauce - 2 tsp
Salt - as per taste

How to make it?

1. Cook 1 cup rice seperately and keep aside.
2. Heat oil in a wok, add garlic and spring onion. Allow it to saute.
3. Add finely chopped capsicum,carrots and french beans. Allow it to cook for 2 mins.
4. Now add schezuan sauce, soya sauce and water and stir well.
5. Now add boiled rice and toss well so that it mixes well.
6. Cook for 2 mins and garnish with spring onion leaves. Serve hot.

Paneer Butter Masala

Preparation time - 30 mins
Serves - 4

Ingredients

Butter - 2 cubes
Garlic - 5-6 cloves
Onions - 3 ( chopped)
Tomato - 1 (chopped)
Tomato - 2 ( pureed)
Ginger garlic paste- 1 tsp
Red color - a pinch
Red chilli powder - 2 tsp
Garam masala - 1/2 tsp
Kasoori methi - 1 tsp
Ketchup - 2 tsp
Cream / milk - 1 cup
Salt - as per taste
Paneer - 250 g ( cut into big slices)

How to make it?

1. Melt butter in a pan.
2. Add ginger garlic paste. Add choppeed garlic pieces and allow it to turn brown.
3. After garlic has turned brown, add chopped onions. Allow it to turn golden brown.
4. Then add chopped tomatoes and allow it to cook.
5. In a seperate bowl, add 3 drops of color,2 tsp chilli powder, 1 tsp of kasoori methi, 2 tsp of tomato ketchup and then add cream/ milk and mix well.
6. Add the mixture to the pan and stir well. Cook for 10 mins.
7. Add salt and paneer pieces and add more milk/cream.
8. Allow it to cook for another 10 mins and serve hot.

Pasta in Red Sauce (Shell Macoroni)

Preparation time - 45 mins
Serves - 4

Ingredients

Oil - 4 tsp
Garlic - 7-8 cloves
Onions - 2 (chopped)
Tomato - 1 (chopped)
Tomato - ( pureed)
Salt - as per taste
Sugar - 1 tsp
Pepper - 2 tsp
Basil - 3-4 leaves
Oregano - 3 tsp
Shell macoroni - 1 packet
Mozerrela cheese - 1 cup

Steps to make:

1. Heat oil. Add garlic in the oil pan. Allow it to turn brown.
2. Next add chopped onions. Allow it to turn brown. Then add chilli flakes.
3. Add chopped tomatoes. Mix well.
4. Now add salt, sugar, pepper and basil leaves to the mixture and mix well. Add oregano and mix well.
5. Next boil macroni in a seperate vessel. Add water and little oil and salt and boil as per instructions in the packet.
6. After  that add drain excess water from it and add boiling pasta to the tomato sauce prepared.
7. Add grated cheese and mix well.
8. Serve hot with grated cheese.

Misal Pav

Preparation time - 45 mins
Serves - 4

For usual

Matki (Moth beans) -2 cups
Onion - 1
Mustard - for seasoning
Turmeric - 1 tsp
Red chilli powder - 1tsp
Garam masala - 1 tsp
Salt - As per taste
Water - 1 cup

1. Soak matki for 6-8 hrs in water.
2. Heat oil in a pan. Add mustard, turmeric powder.
3. Add chopped onions to the pan. Fry till its golden brown.
4. Add the sprouted matki.
5. Add a spn of garam masala and red chilli powder.
6. Add salt as per taste.
7. Now add water and cook for 15 mins.

For Tarri

Onion - 2
Garlic -7-8 cloves
Tomato - 2
Oil - for seasoning
Sugar - 2 tsp
Salt - as per taste
Turmeric - 1 tsp
Red chilli powder - 1 tsp
Misal pav masala - 4 tsps
Water - 5 to 6 cups

1. Heat oil in a pan. Add chopped garlic. Then add chopped onions and allow it to turn brown.
2. Add chopped tomatoes.
3. Grind the above mixture to a paste.
4. Again take little oil in a pan. Add turmeric.
5. Add the paste with sugar, red chilli powder.
6. Now add misal pav masala.
7. Then add 5 to 6 cups of water. Boil for 5 mins.
8. Tarri is ready.

Serving

Farsan - 1 packet
Onion - 1

Usal and Tarri

1. Take a bowl. Add 2 spoons of matki usal.
2. Then add farsan over it.
3. Pour the tarri over it, such that it is farsan is partly immersed in the tarri.
4. Add chopped onions over it.
5. Squezee lime and serve.

Asfotedia - 2 pinches

For the garnishing

Curd - 1  big bowl
Sugar - 5 spoons
Salt - 1 spoon
Chat masala - 1 tsp
Coriander - as per garnishing
Imli chutney - 1 tsp

Oil - for deep frying
Curd (1 big bowl)

How to make it?

1. Soak urad dal in water for 2 hrs.
2. Drain the water and grind the urad dal with green chilli, ginger, salt and asfotedia.
3. Donot add more water while grinding. Make the batter with thick consistency.
4. Keep the curd ready by churning it well with sugar, salt and chat masala.
5. Now heat oil in a pan.
6. Slowy pour the batter in the shape of small balls with hands. Make sure to wet your hands with water.
7. Fry the vadas till they are brownish.
8. Drain the oil and put them in boiling water for 15 mins.
9. Similarily fry all the vadas and follow the above procedure.
10. After 15 mins of soaking, the vadas look a bit white. Squeeze the excess water out of it.
11. Keep the vadas in serving plate and pour sweetened curd. Add a drop of imli chutney over each vada.
12. Sprinkle chat masala over it.
13. Garnish with chopped coriander leaves.

Dahi Puri

Preparation time - 25 mins
Serves - 30-40 puris

Ingredients
Puri( used for pani puri) - 1 packet
Potatoes - 2
White Vatana -1 cup
Imli chutney - as per taste
Pudina chutney - as per taste
Curd - 4 cups
Chat masala - as per taste
Salt - as per taste
Red chilli - 1 tsp
Sev - 1 packet

How to make it?

1. Boil the potatoes and vatana in water.
2. Mash the potatoes and mix the vatana along with salt, chilli powder and chat masala.
3. Take curd in a bowl. Add sugar, salt and chat masala to the curd and mix well.
4. Place the puris on a plate. Break the tip of the puri with a knife.
5. First put the potato filling inside the puri.
6. Now add a spoon of imli chutney and pudina chutney.
7. Pour a spoon of curd into it. And sprinkle red chilli powder.
8. Now add sev and sprinkle chat masala over it.
9. Dahi puri is ready to serve.

Fruit Phirni

Preparation time - 30 mins
Serves - 7-8

Ingredients

Rice - 1 cup
Sugar - 1 cup
Milk - 1.5 litres
Elachi powder - 1 spoon
Walnuts - 5-6 no.s
Kismis - 7-8 no.s
Almonds - 5-6 no.s
Fruits - 3-4 types

How to make it ?

1. Wash the rice 2-3 times and drain it completely. Now allow it to dry.
2. After its dry. Grind it in a dry mixture till it is a little coarse like rava or suji.
3. Take boiled milk. Boil it before hand and reheat it so that it is warm.
4. When the milk is warm , add the ground rice mixture to it and stir continously.
5. Keep stirring it till it attains a thick kheer like consistency. It make take approximately 15 mins.
6. Now add chopped walnuts, almonds and kismis to the milk.
7. Stir well. Now add elachi powder and stir well.
8. Turn off the gas and allow it to cool.
9. Keep it in the frridge for 1 hour.
10. Chop fruits like apples, banana, chickoo and add to the chilled mixture.Also add grapes or pomogranate if available. Serve chilled.

Papdi Chat

Preparation time - 10 mins
Serves - 30-40 puris

Ingredients

Bhelpuri Papdi (Readily Available in market) - 1 packet, it contains around 30-40 papdis
Potato - 2
Onion - 1
Imli chutney - a small cup
Coriander - little
Chat masala - as per taste
Salt - as per taste
Red chilli powder - 2 tsp
Bareek sev - 1 packet

How to make it?

1. Boil and mash tge potatoes well.
2. Mix chopped onions , coriander , salt , red chilli powder and chat masala with the mashed potatoes and mix well.
3. Place the papdis flat on a plate.
4. Put the potato mixture and top it over the papdi.
5. Put 1 spoon of imli chutney over it.
6. Add little chat masala over the papdi. Now put the sev over the papdis and serve.

Imli Chutney

Preparation time : 20 mins
Serves : 4

Ingredients:

Dates (3)
Jaggery (1/3 cup)
Imli (1/3 cup)
Salt (a pinch)
Water (1 cup)

How to make it?

1. Soak imli and dates in hot water.
2. Deseed them.
3. Put the imli and dates in a mixture and make a paste.
4. Boil water in a pan and add jaggery. Now add the above imli and dates paste to it.
5. Allow it to boil till required consistency.
6. Serve it with chat items.

Microwave Dhokla

Ingredients

Besan - 2 cups
Semolina - 1/2 cup
Sugar - 1 tsp
Salt - 3 tsp
Turmeric - 1/2 tsp
Lemon juice - 1/2
Eno - 2 tsp
Asfotedia - 1 small pinch

For seasoning

Mustard seeds - 2 tsp
Oil - 4tsps
Green chilli - 2
Curry leaves -7-8leaves
Hot water - 5-6 tbsps

How to make it?

1. Mix the besan, semolina well. And add 2 cups of water for mixing.
2. Add a tsp of spoon, salt, turmeric and asfotedua.
3. Add lemon juice and allow the mixture to stay for 20 mins.
4. Now stir the mixture well and add 2 tsps of eno. Mix well so that the dough is frothy.
5. Grease a microwave bowl with oil and pour the mixture.
6. Microwave for 3 mins and then keep for 1 min.
7. Allow 5 mins standing time.
8. Now upturn the microwave bowl into a plate. And allow it to cool.
9.  For seasoning : take oil in a pan. Add mustard seeds, green chiili and curry leaves. Let it splutter.
10. Now add hot boiling water to the seasoning after switching off the gas.
11. Pour the seasoning on the dhokla upturnes on the plate.
12. Now cut into desired shapes.


Kofta

Serves - 4
Preparation time - 45 mins

Ingredients

Pumpkin -100 gms
Onion -2
Tomtoes - 3
Potato -1
Besan - 4-5 tablespoons
Cardamom -1
Bay leaf - 1
Milk -1 cup
Red chilli - 2 tsp
Turmeric - 1 tsp
Oil - 6 tbsp
Jeera  for seasoning
Sugar -1 tsp
Salt - as per taste

How to make it?

1. Grate the pumpkin. Boil potatoes and mash with it.
2. Add turmeric and red chilli powder. Add besan to the mixture and mix well to make a dough.
3. Make it into small round balls.
4. Heat oil in a pan. Fry the kofta ball and keep aside.
5. Now in very little oil , add bay leaves, cardamom, jeera.
6. Fry the onions and make it to a paste.
7. Make tomato puree.
8. Add both in into kadhai and mix well.
9. Allow it boil well. Add salt and sugar and red chilli powder.
10. Add the koftas while serving. Serve with hot chapatis.

Mango Icecream

Serves - 5-6
Preparation time - 20 mins

Ingredients

Milk powder - 1 cup
Fresh cream - 1 cup
Mango pulp - 1 cup
Sugar - 1/2 cup

How to make it?

1. Mix all the ingredients (milk powder, fresh cream, mango pulp and sugar together.
2. Put them in a mixer and grind for some time.
3. Now pour the mixture in a bowl where you want the icecream.
4. Put the bowl to freezer for 4-5 hrs.
5. Serve chilled.

Falooda

Serves - 4

Sabja (basil seeds) -2 teaspoons
Falooda sev - a handful
Rose syrup / Rooafza - 1 cup
Milk - 1 1/2 cup
Sugar syrup - 1/2 cup
Strawberry icecream - 1 family pack

Kismis - 8-10

How to make it?

1. Soak sabja seeds (basil seeds) in water for 45 mins.
2. Boil the falooda sev in water till its soft. Drain the water and keep aside.
3. Take some water, add sugar and boil it. 4. Now bring the sugar syrup to room temp
5. Drain water from sabja (basil seeds).
6. Take 4 glasses. Add sabja into the glasses. Then add falooda sev.
7. Now pour the sugar syrup on it. Then add milk.
8. Next pour rose syrup in all glasses. The sabja will float in the mixture.
9. Add strawberry icecream scoop to it.
10. Serve chilled.

Hara Bhara Kabab

Serves : 12-15 Pieces

Ingredients

Spinach -10 leaves
Potatoes - 4 no.s
Peas - a handful
Bread - 3 slices
Salt - as per taste
Chat masala - 1 spoon
Green chilli - 4 no.s
Coriander - a handful

How to make it?

1. Boil the spinach,potatoes and peas i  cooker and allow it to cool down.
2. Mash the above together. Add bread slices soaked in water and squezze out excess water.
3. Make green chiili and coriander paste.
4. Mix the paste with above mashed mixture.
5. Add salt and chat masala.
6. Make small round shaped tikkis.
7. Take oil in a pan and put 4-5 tikkis at a time and allow it to cook on both sides.
8. Serve it hot with tomato sauce or pudina chutney.

Achari aloo

Preparation time : 45 mins

Potatoes (5-6)
Ginger garlic paste (1 spoon)
Turmeric powder (1/2 spoon)

Methi seeds (few)
Til ( 1 spoon)

How to make it?

1. Peel the potatoes and cut them into wedges.
2. Take little oil in a pan. Add ginger garlic paste. Add methi seeds, saunf and til seeds and allow it to turn brown.
3. Grind the above paste with little water.
4. Take oil in a pan. Add saunf . Add turmeric. Then add potatoes and the above grinded paste.
5. Add a cup of water and allow the potatoes to cook.
6. Garnish with coriander leaves.

Matki ki sabji

Sprouted matki (2 cups)
Onions (2-3)
Tomato (2)
Turmeric (1/4 spoon)
Hing (a pinch)

Water (1 cup)

Jeera ( for seasoning)

How to make it?

1. Sprout the matki overnight.
2. Add jeera
3. Take oil in a pressure cooker pan. Add jeera, hing, turmeric , greenn chilli.
4. Add ginger garlic paste.
5. Then add chopped onions. Allow it to turn brown.
6. Next add chopped tomatoes. Fry them till oil seperates.
7. Add the matki and fry it along with it. 8. Now add water and close the pressure cooker. Allow 3-4 whistles.
9. Garnish with coriander leaves.

Wheat ladoo( aate ke laddoo)

Preparation time : 1 hr

Ingredients

Wheat flour ( 1 and 1/2 cup)
Sugar (1 and 1/2 cup)
Ghee (5-8 spoons)

How to make it?

1. Sieve the wheat flour.
2. Powder the sugar finely.
3. Take ghee in a pan and melt it.
4. Now roast the wheat flour by continously stirring it. Dont stop stirring till its dark brown.
5. Add ghee if required.
6. Now mix the sugar to it.Again stir it continiously.
7. Allow it to cool a bit and mould them into ladoos.
8. Allow them to be open for some time, till they become hard. Store in a air tight container.

Kacche kele k kofte

Ingredients

Kaccha kela ( Raw Banana) (2)
Potato (2)
Corn flour (3-4 tbsp)
Salt ( as per taste)
Besan (2 tbsp)
Turmeric (a pinch)
Onion (2)
Tomatoes (2-3)
Cream or milk (2-3 spoons)
Oil (3-4 tbsp)
Jeera , Rai, Green chilli, Hing ( little for seasoning)
Coriander (little for garnishing)

How to make it?

1. Boil the kaccha kela (Raw Banana) and potatoes. Mash them well.
2. Add salt, corn flour, besan, turmeric to the mashed potatoes and raw banana and mix well.
3. Make them into small balls.
4. Deep fry them in oil.And keep aside.
5. Take a kadhai and little oil. Heat it. Add jeera , rai ,green chilli and hing for seasoning.
6. Add chopped onions to the oil and fry it till it turns golden brown.
7. Grind them into onion paste. Add it kadhai with all seasoning.
8. Puree the tomatoes.
9. Add little water and pour in the milk or cream to make gravy.
10. Allow it to boil for 10 mins.
11. Add fried kofta balls to the gravy
12. Garnish with coriander.

Chana Dal Namkeen

Ingredients
Chana dal - 1/4 kg
Salt - as per taste
Chilli Powder - 3 teaspoons
Amchur Powder - 1/2 teaspoon
Oil - required for frying
Turmeric Powder - 1 teaspoon

How to make it?

1. Soak chanadal in water for 4 hrs.
2. Drain all the water from the dal and allow it to dry. You can dry it on a cloth.
3. After drying, take oil in a pan. And heat it. Keep it on low flame.
4. Add chana dal to oil and allow it to fry.
5. Drain the oil from the dal.
6. Allow it to cool.
7. Mix salt,turmeric and chilli powder seperately.
8. Now mix it wid chana dal. Store in a air tight container.

Murmura Chiwda

Preparation time : 20 mins
Serves : can be stored for a month

How to make it??

1. Take oil in a pan.
2. Add jeera, sonf, cloves and bay leaf.
3. Add turmeric powder. Add whole garlic cloves and whole of small onions.
4. Allow the onions to turn brownish golden. Add tomotoes and allow it to cook till oil seperates.
5. Then add drumsticks and stir well.
6. Next add chilli powder , jeera powder and dhaniya powder.
7. After that, Add 1 cup of water . Check if drum sticks have cooked, add 1/2 packet of maggi masala magic.

Paneer Bhurji

Preparation time : 30 mins

Paneer -300 gms
Onion - 2 no.s
Chilli - 4 no.s
Tomato -2 no.s
Salt - as per taste
Turmeric - 1/2 spoon
Chilli powder - 1 spoon
Jeera - 1/4 spoon

How to make it?

1. Grate or with ur hand, shred the paneer into extremely small pieces.
2. Chop onions, tomatoes and chilli into extremely small pieces.
3. Take oil in a pan. Add jeera and allow it to crackle.
4. Add turmeric and chopped onion to the pan. Allow it to turn brown.
5. Now add chopped tomatoes. Allow it to cook, till oil seperates.
6. Add the shreded paneer to the pan and mix it really well.
7. Add chilli powder and salt and keep stiring. Cook for 5-7 mins.

How to make it?

1. Cut the paneer into small rectangular pieces.
2. Fry them a little in some oil for 5 mins. Dont fry for long time, as they tend to become hard. Drain the oil and keep aside.
3. Now chop onions and fry the onion in the oil.
4. After they turn golden brown, allow them to cool and grind them with green chilli and jeera to make paste.
5. Boil tomatoes in water seperately and make tomato puree.
6. Now take oil in a kadai and add little jeera.
7. Add the onion and chilli paste and ginger garlic paste in to the pan. Allow it to cook for some time.
8. Add turmeric, chilli powder, dhaniya powder to the mixture. Allow it to cook for sometime.
9. After the color changes to light brown, Add tomato puree and allow it to boil.
10. Now after the gravy is boiled and has proper consistency. Add mutter and the paneer.
11. Allow it to cook for some time. Add coriander leaves to garnish.
12. Serve hot with chapatis.

Instant Rabdi

Ingredients

Milk - 2 Cups
Fresh bread crumbs - 1/2 Cup
Condensed Milk - 1/4 Cup
Sugar - 2 table spoon
Elachi Powder - 1/4 Spoon
Cornflour (1/2 teaspoon) mixed in 1 tablespoon milk

How to make it?

1. Combine Milk ,Bread crumbs, Condensed milk, Sugar and Elachi powder.
2. Microwave HIGH for 5 minutes. Stir every 2 minutes.
3. Add cornflour paste and microwave on HIGH for 2 mins.
4. Cool and serve chilled.

Soya Granules Cutlet

Preparation time : 30 mins
Serves : 16-20 Pieces

Ingredients

Soya granules - 2 cups
Potato (boiled and mashed) - 3 no.s
Beans (boiled and mashed) - 6-7 no.s
Carrot ( boiled and mashed) - 1 no.s
Besan - 3 tbsps
Salt - as required
Turmeric - 1 tsp
Red chilli powder - 1 tsp
Rava - 1/2 cup
Oil - for deep fry

How to make it?

1. Boil all vegetables (potato, beans , carrot). And mash it together.
2. Add salt, chiili powder,soya granules and besan to make dough. Make sure dough is not very watery and loose.
3. Heat the oil in which it is to be deep fried.
4. Make small round balls and flatten it with the dough.
5. Roll the flattened cutlet balls in rava.
6. Deep fry in oil.
7. Place it on a tissue paper to extract excess oil. Serve it hot.

Chilli Paneer Dry

Serves - 4 ( 20 pieces of Chiili Panner)
Preparation time - 1/2 hour

Ingredients

Panner (cut into cubes) - 100 gms
Cornflour - 3 tbsp
Capsicum (cut into small squares) - 1 no.s
Onion ( finely chopped) - 2 no.s
Spring onion leaves ( chopped into small pieces ( 6-7 onions from the bunch)
Red chilli flakes - 3-4 tsp
Tomato ketchup - 2 tsp
Soy sauce - 2 tsp
Salt - As needed
Oil - for frying paneer cubes and seasoning

Preparation

1. Prepare a watery batter of cornflour, salt, red chilli flakes. The batter should be of flowing consistency same as used for frying bhajiyas.
2. Dip the paneer pieces into the batter and deep fry them in oil. Dont let the paneer cubes stick together. Let the pieces turn slightly brownish on the edges.
3. Keep the fried panner aside and take oil in a pan. Add chopped onions.
4. Fry the onion. Add capsicum pieces. Let them cook for sometime. Add red chilli flakes.
5. Now add tomato ketchup and soy sauce in to the mixture.
6. Add friend paneer and spring onion leaves. Allow the mixture on fire for 5 mins.
7. Serve it hot.

Malai Kofta

Serves - 20 koftas
Preparation Time - 1 hour

Ingredients

For Kofta -

Potato -3 no.s
Paneer (cottage cheese) - 150 gms
Green chilli - 2-3 no.s
Coriander powder - 1 tsp
Cumin Powder - 1 tsp
Red Chiili Powder - 1 tsp
Cashew nut - 5-6 no.s
Coriander leaves -few
Cornflour - 5 tbsp

For Gravy-

Oil - 3 tsp
Onion - 2 no.s
Ginger garlic paste - 1 tsp
Tomatoes - 3 no.s
Turmeric - 1 tsp
Cumin Powder - 2 tsp

Cream - 1/4 cup

Preparation

1. Boil potatoes in cooker. Let it cool down and later peel the skin and mash it to pulp.
2. Grate paneer and mix it with mashed potatoes.
3. Grind Green chiili and Cashew nuts.
4. Add Coriander powder, Chilli powder,  Cumin powder, Green chiili and Cashew powdered and cornflour to the potato and paneer mix.
5. Make it into small balls and deep fry them in oil. Keep it aside.
6. For the gravy, season cumin in oil. Add ginger garlic paste. Immediately add chopped onions. Let the onions turn golden brown.
7. Add Tomato puree, Cashew nuts, Cream and Water.
8. Allow the gravy to boil. Add salt, Garam Masala.
9. Add koftas to the gravy just before serving. Garnish with Coriander leaves.
10. Serve hot with chapatis or naan.

Microwave Chocolate Mug

Preparation time - 15 mins
Serves - 4

Ingredients

Maida - 3 tbsp
Powdered sugar - 3 tbsp
Cocoa powder - 2 tbsp
Baking soda - 1/2 tsp
Milk - 3 tbsp
Oil - 3 tbsp
Dairy milk - 2 big bars

How to make it?

1. Take maida, cocoa powder, powdered sugar, baking soda and mix it together. Sieve the mixture 3 times.
2. Add milk  and oil to the above mixture and keep stiring, till it mixes well and there are no lumps.
3. Take a microwave mug. Grease the inner walls with little oil. Pour the mixture into the mug.
4. Chop the diary milk into small pieces and add it to the mug.
5. Keep it in microwave high for 2 mins.
6. Chocolate mug is ready to serve.

Spring Onion (chopped)
Wheat flour (3 cups)
Salt (2-3 spoons)

How to make it?

1. Wash and chop the spring onion to small pieces. Take only the spring onion leaves.
2. Take the wheat flour, salt , turmeric and mix them together.
3. Grind green chillis and garlic to make a paste.
4. Add spring onio , chilli and garlic paste to the flour and make it to soft dough.
6. Roll into parathas or puris.
7. Serve with curd.

2. Add salt, corn flour, besan, turmeric to the grated pumpkin and mix well.
3. Make them into small balls.
4. Deep fry them in oil.And keep aside.
5. Take a kadhai and little oil. Heat it. Add jeera , rai ,green chilli and hing for seasoning.
6. Add chopped onions to the oil and fry it till it turns golden brown. Now add choppex tomatoes.
7. Add little water and pour in the milk or cream to make gravy.
8. Allow it to boil for 10 mins.
9. Add fried kofta balls to the gravy

Smoothie

Ingredients

Any fruit ( Banana/Chickoo/Apple/Strawberry) or Dry fruits
Oats (3 tbsps)
Milk ( 1/2 cup)
Sugar (1 spoon)
Essence ( optional)

How to make it?

1. Peel of the skin from the fruits like apple, chickoo. You can add dates,dry fruits, honey etc.
2. Put it in the mixer with oats,milk and sugar.
3. Grind it well.
4. Add some vanilla or rose essence.
5. Serve cold.

How to make it?

1. Wash and chop the cabbage to small pieces.
2. Take the wheat flour, salt , turmeric and mix them together.
3. Grind green chillis and garlic to make a paste.
4. Add chopped cabbage, chilli and garlic paste to the flour and make it to soft dough.
5. Roll into parathas or puris.

Mooli Paratha

Ingredients

Raddish (grated)
Wheat flour (3 cups)
Salt (2-3 spoons)
Water
Turmeric (1 spoon)
Jeera powder
Green chill (3-4)
Garlic (4-5 cloves)

How to make it?

1. Wash and grate raddish to small pieces.
2. Take the wheat flour, salt , turmeric, jeera powder and mix them together.
3. Grind green chillis and garlic to make a paste.
4. Add grated raddish, chilli and garlic paste to the flour and make it to soft dough.
6. Roll into parathas.
7. Serve with curd.

Dhaniya Paratha/Puri

Ingredients

Coriander (chopped)
Wheat flour (3 cups)

Palak Paratha/Puri

Ingredients

Palak (chopped)
Wheat flour (3 cups)
Salt (2-3 spoons)
Water
Turmeric (1 spoon)
Green chill (3-4)

How to make it?

1. Wash and chop the palak to small pieces.
2. Boil the palak in water for 10 mins. Add 1/2 spoon sugar to the boiling water.
3. Take the wheat flour, salt , turmeric and mix them together.
4. Grind green chillis and garlic to make a paste.
5. Add boiled palak, chilli and garlic paste to the flour and make it to soft dough.
6. Roll into parathas or puris.
7. Serve with curd.

Palak Panner

Ingredients

Palak (1/2 bunch)
Panner (100 gms)
Ginger garlic paste (1 spoon)
Tomatoes (2)
Green chilli (1)
Oil (little)
Rai (little)

How to make it?

1. Wash palak and tomtoes and boil the leaves in cooker.
2. Fry the panner in little oil and keep aside. Put them in water so that they remain soft.
3. Grind palak , green chilli and tomatoes.
4. Season oil and put rai in it.
5. Add palak paste to it. Allow it to boil for 10 mins.
6. Add panner.

Chana Dal Sabji

Ingredients: 

Channa Daal- 1/2 Cup
Onion - 1 large
Greenchilli - 3
Cumin Seeds - 1/2 tsp
Dry Redchilli - 1
Ginger-garlic paste - 1tsp
Redchilli Powder - 1/2 tsp
Coriander Powder - 1/4 tsp
Turmeric Powder - 1/4 tsp
Curry Leaves - few
Coriander leaves - [optional]
Salt - to taste
Oil - 2 tbs

How to make it?

1. Wash and saok daal in water for 1 hour. [U can soak more than 1 hour too]
2. Slice onion and green chilli.
3. Heat oil in a pan add cumin seeds and let it crack, add dry chilli, onion, green chilli, curry leaves and stir well.
4. Add ginger garlic paste, mix well and cook till onion becomes light brown.
5. Add all the powder masala, stir and cook for a min.
6. Drain water from daal and keep aside.
7. Add daal in to pan, mix well and cook for a min.
8. Add the drain water or fresh water 1cup, give a gud stir.
9. Cover with lid and cook in medium flame for 10 mins.
10. Add salt, stir and cook for another 10mins. Daal should be cook but not very soft, it should be crunchy.Garnish with coriander.

Pepper Rasam

Ingredients :
Tamarind (1 small lemon size) Tomatoes (2)
Asfotedia (A pinch)
Turmeric powder (1 spoon)
Jeera (1/2 tsp)
Pepper powder (2 tsp)
Mustard seeds (1/2 tsp)
Coriander leaves (for garnish)
How to make ?
1. Soak the tamarind in water. You can either keep it in a separate vessel the cooker along with the dal to cook.
2. Boil tomatoes in the cooker or seperately.
3. Mash tomatoes and keep the content in a vessel.
4. Strain juice from the tamrind into the vessel.
5. Add water in vessel.
6. Add salt, turmeric,pepper powder and asfotedia powder.
7. Mix the same. Allow it to boil for 15 mins.
8. Season jeera and rai and pepper powder in ghee separately and add to the boiled rasam.
9. Garnish with coriander leaves.

Masala bhath (Masala Rice)

Ingredients
Rice (2 cups)
Water (5 cups)
Jeera (for seasoning)
Rai (for seasoning)
Red chilli (1)

Masala powder (1/4 spoon)

How to make it?
1. Cook rice in pressure cooker. Keep it aside.
2. Season rai,jeera,red chilli and green chilli in oil.
3. Add chopped onion. Fry till it is golden brown. Add chopped tomatoes.
4. Put jeera powder,masala powder and coriander powder to the mixture.
5. Now add salt and sugar as per taste.
6. Add the cooked rice to the mixture and stir with the back side of the spoon. Add oil as an when required.
7. Garnish coriander leaves.

Oats Dosa

Ingredients
Oats (1 cup)
Rava (1 table spoon)
Rice flour (1/2 cup)
Curd (2 table spoons)
Water (as required)
Salt (1/2 spoon)
Curry leaves (Garnishing)
Onion (chopped-1)
Jeera (Seasoning)
How to make it?
1. Dry roast the oats. And powder it.
2. In a vessel,add rava, powdered oats and rice flour. Mix it with curd and water. There should not be any lumps.
3. Season jeera in little oil and add curry leaves and onion.
4. Add the seasoned onion to the batter and add salt.
5. Pour the batter on the tava using like dosa. Put little oil  on the sides and cook it on both sides.
6. Oats dosa is ready. Serve it with chutney.

Pepper poha

Ingredients
Poha (2 cups for 2 people)
Pepper powder (2 spoon)
Oil (4 spoons)
Jeera (seasoning)
Rai (seasoning)
Udah dal (little)
Chana dal (little)
Green chilli (2-3)
Salt (as per taste)
Coriander (garnishing)
How to make it?
1. Wash the poha in water once and let all the water drain. Keep it under the fan, so that the poha is not sticky.
2. Season rai and jeera in oil in a kadhai.
3. Add chana dal and udah dal. Season it and let it turn brown.
4. Put green chillis.
5. Now add poha to the pan.
6. Sprinkle pepper powder and salt over it as per taste.
7. Mix it well, so that there are no lumps. Add some more oil so that the poha is not sticky.
8. Garnish with coriander leaves.

Rava idli

Ingredients

Rava ( 2 table spoon for 2 people)
Curd ( 4 table spoon)
Oil ( little)
Jeera (1/4 spoon)
Rai (1/4 spoon)
Green chilli (3-4)
Udah dal (1/4 spoon)
Chana dal (1/4 spoon)
Curry leaves (5-6)
Salt (as per taste)
Hing ( a pinch)
Turmeric ( a pinch)


How to make it?

1. In a vessel take rava and curd and mix it well such that there are no lumps.
2. Season jeera, rai, chana dal, udah dal and green chilli.
3. Add little turmeric, hing and curry leaves. Add salt as per taste.
4. Now pour all the seasoned content to the vessel having rava and curd mixed.
5. The mixture should be pouring consistency.
6. Grease the idli plates with oil and pour the batter prepared in the plates.
7. Steam it for 20 mins.
8. Allow it to cool and remove the idlis from the plate gently. Let it cool down. Then serve.

Pasta with white sauce

Macaroni (1/2packet for 2 people)
Corn flour (3 table spoon)
Capsicum (few chopped pieces)
Carrot (few chopped pieces)
Milk (1 cup)
Cheese cubes (2-3)
Butter (1 teaspoon)
Garlic cloves (4-5)
Pepper (4)
Red chilli flakes (as per taste)
Oregano (as per taste)
Salt ( as per taste)
How to make it?
1. Boil the macaroni with salt in water as per instructions given in the packet.
2. Heat butter in a pan.
3. Add garlic. Let it turn slightly brown in color.
4. Add cornflour to the pan and stir it contionously for 5 mins.
5. Add milk to the flour .Keep stiring and avoid lumps.
6. Put salt, pepper,chilli flakes and oregano as per taste.
7. Now put the vegetables ( capsicum and carrot). Allow it to cook.
8. Add the macaroni to the mixture and allow it to cook.
9. Serve hot after grating cheese over it.

Kadi (Mor koyambu)

Ingredients
Tur dal (1 spn)
Chanadal (1 spn)
Rice (1 handful)
Jeera (1/4 spn)
Dhania (1/4 spn)
Coconut (2-3 spns)
Green chilli (4-5)
Curd (2 glasses)
Turmeric powder (a pinch)
Asfotedia 11
Any vegetable (cucumber,ladysfinger)
Mustard seeds
Coriander (garnish)
How to make it?
1. Soak turdal,chanadal,rice,jeera and dhaniya in water for 20 mins
2. Churn curd and dilute it with water.
3. Add turmeric powder andasfotedia.
4. Grind the above dal and jeera with green chilli and coconut.
5. Add vegetable and allow it to boil.
6. Season rai in oil seperately and it to the above mix.
7. Garnish with coriander.

Dhokla

Ingredients
Rice (1 cup)
Chanadal (1/2 cup)
Curd (1 cup)
Ginger (1 small piece)
Chilli (4-5)
Eno (1 packet)
Rai (3 spoons)
Curry leaves (8-9)
Asfotedia (a pinch)
Coriander (garnish)
How to make it?
1. Soak rice and chana dal overnight.
2. Grind the above with curd and salt.
3. Add ginger paste and grind chilli and add to the above mix.
4. Add eno and allow the mix to stay for 20 mins.
5. Put the above batter mix in a round flat vessel and steam it in cooker for 20 mins.
6. Let the dhokla cool down.
7. Season rai and curry leaves seperately in oil. Add hing.
8. Cut the dhokla into square pieces and sprinkle the rai over it.
9. Garnish it with coriander.

Sambar with coconut

Ingredients
Any vegetable - pumpkin,bitter gourd,potato
Dhania seeds 1/4 tsp
Coconut 2-3 tsp
Red chilli (4-5)
Chana dal 1/2 tsp
Methi (little)
Tamrind - lemon size
Turmeric -a pinch
Salt to taste
Mustard seeds ( 1/2 tsp)
Coriander (garnish)
How to make it?
1. Soak tamarind in water. Extract tamrind water from it.
2. Season the dhania seeds,red chillis,chana dal and coconut in 1 teaspoon of oil.
3. Grind the above mix and keep aside.
4. Add vegetable in the tamrind water.
5. Add salt and a pinch of turmeric powder and the above mix.
6. Boil for some time.
7. Add boiled tur dal to it.
8. Season mustard seeds in oil and put it the mix.
9. Garnish it with coriander.

Apple jalebi

Ingredients
Apple large (2-3)
Maida (1/2 cup)
Cornflour (2 tablespoons)
Rawa (2 table spoons)
Vinegar (2 tsp)
Baking soda ( pinch)
Oil ( required for frying)
Sugar syrup (2 cups of sugar)
Elachi powder (pinch)
How to make it?
1. Whisk maida , cornflour, suji, vinegar,baking soda in water. The mix should be of pouring consistency.
2. Slice apples in roundels. Use the cutter which removes the middle portion of the seeds.
3. Heat oil and dip the roundels in batter and deep fry till they are golden.
4. Pour sugar syrup over it after dipping it once in sugar syrup.
5. Sprinkle elachi powder and serve after its cooled down.

Lemon Rasam

Ingredients:

Tomatoes (2)
Asfotedia (A pinch)
Turmeric powder (1 spoon)
Tur Dal (1 small cup)
Lemon (1)
Green chilli (5-6)
Jeera (1/2 tsp)
Mustard seeds (1/2 tsp)
Coriander leaves (for garnish)

How to make ?

1. Boil tomatoes in the cooker or separately.
2. Mash tomatoes and keep the content in a vessel.
3. Add water in vessel.
4. Add green chilli big pieces into the mix and allow it to boil.
5. Add salt and asfotedia powder.
6. Mix the same. Allow it to boil for 10 min.
7. Season jeera and rai in ghee separately and add to the boiled rasam.
8. Squeeze lemon juice into it after it cools down
9. Garnish with coriander leaves.

Kollu Rasam

Ingredients :
Tamarind (1 small lemon size) Tomatoes (2)
Asfotedia (A pinch)
Jeera (1/2 tsp)
Mustard seeds (1/2 tsp)
Coriander leaves (for garnish)
For the rasam powder
Flax seeds - 2 big tsp
Pepper - (8)
Red chilli - (4)
Jeera - 1 teaspoon
Curry leaves.
Season the above ingredients for rasam powder and Grind the above to make a fine powder.
How to make ?
1. Soak the tamarind in water. You can either keep it in a separate vessel the cooker along with the dal to cook.
2. Boil tomatoes in the cooker or seperately.
3. Mash tomatoes and keep the content in a vessel.
4. Strain juice from the tamrind into the vessel.
5. Add water in vessel.
6. Add salt, kollu rasam powder and asfotedia powder.
7. Mix the same. Allow it to boil for 15 mins.
8. Season jeera and rai in ghee separately and add to the boiled rasam. 9. Garnish with coriander leaves.

Vattal koyambu

Ingredients :
Tamarind (1 big lemon size)
Lady's finger ( 5-6)
Sambhar powder (3 Spoons)
Ground Nuts (1 Handful)
Jagery (1/2 spoon)
Salt (2 spoons)
Methi seeds (1/4 spoon)
Red chilli (3)
Chana dal (1/2 spoon)
Tur dal (1/2 spoon)


How to make?
1. Soak tamarind in water.
2. Strain imli water from the tamarind in a vessel.
3. Add vegetables, ground nuts , sambhar powder, salt, and water along with imli water and allow it to boil.
4.  Season rai,methi seeds, red chilli and chana dal in oil separately and add to the cooked vattal koyambu.
5. Add rice flour after mixing it in water
6. Garnish with coriander leaves.

Adai

Ingredients:
Rice (3/4 cup)
Turdal (1 cup)
Chana dal (3/4 cup)
Udah dal (1 spoon)
Red chilli (2)
Green chilli (2)
Kadi patta (few)
Salt (to taste)
Asfotedia ( a pinch)
How to make?
1. Wash the rice, chana dal,turdal,udah dal properly.
2. Soak it in sufficient water for an hour.
3. Grind it coarse with red chilli,green chilli,kadi pata and asfotedia. The batter should be corous.
4. Keep it outside for 15 mins.
5. Add chopped onions to the mix.
6. Take a tawa, grease it with oil and let it heat.
7. Pour the batter in a round shape with a tablespoon like dosa and spread it on the tawa.
8. Cook on both sides.
9. Serve with curd or chutney.
